In Creative Corner, poetry

Gathered under this big mango tree;
Lulled by the sway of its boughs
As a lux breeze fans the sad away…
The moonlight vehement,
Its glow showering us in placidity.

The lustre in here, eyes dimmed by old age wisdom.
The moon’s yellowy light paints her face golden,
Exposing a crookedly curled smile beneath her wrinkled face.
She seems grateful, fulfilled –

I stare calmly,
My feet planted on this unsutured ground,
The warmth of the day’s bask seeps gently through me
Absorbing me, I melt in this moment.

Her words husky yet eloquent,
Squeezing past her tired cords
Slithering keenly like an unsheathed sword
To my expectant eardrums.

She alludes to a life that was;
Weaving carefully the past into the present
Thread after thread, fabricating, enticing
Imparting priceless erudition and wisdom boundless.
