A Mother’s love for her child
is all too blind to every bound.
See! She holds him light and mild
and suckles him until he’s full.
A Mother’s love for her child
is far beyond the strongest might.
See! She bathes him soft and warm
and covers him in swaddling white.
A mother’s love for her child
is God’s love for us in a bit.
Hear the sweet lullabies she sings
and know she’s done no puny feat.
A mother’s love for her child
is there for him until she’s still.
O’er her grave are sun flowers
to tell her child she loves him still.
