In Creative Corner, poetry

I want to write for her
Her undying love
Her effortless charisma
Her accurate guidance
Her unsurpassed dignity
Her everyday courtesy
For she owns a thatched up soul
That keeps me balanced and protected

In her dark skin and porcelain smile
In her tightened khanga and welcoming voice
On my tongue lies the taste of her sleepless nights and loving kindness

Whether buried in snow and left unseen
Blown by the wind with broken seams
Or crushed by God’s feet all in shards
Whether by far or near
I shall trudge my feet there
And I would still long for home

For home is her!
