It could be in the burning fire of hell
Or high as the seventh heaven
It could be on waves of the ocean bed
Or within buried caves
Whether scorching or freezing
In her arms I find home
It could be from the farthest distance
Or it could be from our closeness
It could be in the confines of a bedroom
Or with the whole world watching
Whether breathing or deceased
In her arms I find home
It could be for all the books I read
Or in the lines I’ve written
It could be for the ones trashed
Or the ones I put out to the world
Whether lost or won
In her arms I find home
It could be for all the tears from her eyes
Or the sound of her beautiful laughter
It could be for her remarkable sweetness
Or the love she gives out
Whether holy or sinful
In her arms I find home
