In Creative Corner, poetry

The roar of the Atlas Lions
Was merely heard behind the hedges
And before the world sensed danger,
They had cut across the edges
To a more audible, terrible roar.

To the Belgians, it looked like a snore
But the Canadians bore a witness.
The Spanish were a hard nut to crack
Yet the Portuguese got their dose,
But the Lions tore all them into pieces.

I saw misery on the streets of Brussels
And discomfort on the faces in Madrid,
The Lions didn’t spare Ronaldo’s ego
His tears only wetted Al Thumama stadium,
The roar pushed The Lions further.

As the Atlas Lions face Paris soon,
May Allah lead them to this great win
And to sum it up with the apex of it all
And the land of Zenji will drown in pride
And the Lions will come home in glory.
