In Creative Corner, poetry

Sometimes I feel like stopping
In the middle of the road
Disturb traffic and make a scene
But am the only person on this road
And this road is nothing but a footpath.

I’ve walked on years
Everyone I met was travelling alone
No one seems to know where the path leads
But I keep walking and hoping
That I arrive at a familiar place
I’ve never been before
And find myself.

I take every step in faith
Though I can’t see the cut line
I know I’ve come so far
Surely the vision I hold
Will one day be reality.

Sometimes I fear for my arrival
That the destination I crave might just be
Stranger than the fiction I escaped from
Even so, this gruesome road
Has been worth the travel.
