Nights black as crows summon relics; floating phantoms
of our fallen fathers. Twigs from protection rituals give
birth to smoke of breath-taking introspection. Can we
sever the ties that link us to our ancestors? We
cannot! For we are cut from the same cloth.
Fabricated tales we feed our children
about their roots stem from the
tree of ignorance.
