In Creative Corner, poetry

A Father cared for his Son
Each and every single day,
Took him to school
Gave titbits of wisdom
And different perspectives,
On life and living.

He even stopped by me, a simple beggar,
Who observed everyday
This budding relationship
And admired from afar,
This beautiful bond.

Then one rainy night, there was a fight
Between the Father and his Son.
I know not why,
But the younger gunned down the elder.

Unexpected, unforeseen, unplanned,
But the Son seemed to have moved on
And it appears his family too.

He now speaks highly of his mother,
And so the deeds of the Father…

…were washed away with the blood in the rain.
