Notice me,
I pass here every day
Whistle,
I’ll smile in my heart
Though my face will wear an angry look
Pause,
Observe my steps
Wink at me,
As I throw my buttocks
Left and right
Stop me,
Use whatever excuse you have
Scratch not your head
Honestly, I wouldn’t mind
Deep inside
I may be, a tough one
But I’m a woman inside
Give essence to my nature
If you turn down this invitation,
A grumpy woman you’ll be nursing
Notice me!
Wave me down!
Talk to me!
I have a whim for these.

Dear lovely writer, this poem reminds me of the times when I was unable to communicate my feelings. Growing up is not an easy task you see. And the society gives us characters we must adhere to. But what happens when the Avatar is not the real you?.
It was a good poem indeed 😌
Wow! I am glad you understand the feeling. It’s important for us to learn how to express our feelings because sometimes it makes us feel like in an emotional prison, expecting others to free us without understanding our needs.
Greetings, I would like to submit my piece of work for the African awards. I do not know what is required of me, please advise.
